Eye supplements. Антоцианы и высокоантоциановые экстракты: влияние на диабет и зрение.

Dilip Ghosh и Tetsuya Konishi опубликовали обзор литературы о свойствах антоцианов, связанных с антидиабетической активностью и влиянием на зрительные функции.

Антоцианы составляют наибольшую группу водорастворимых пигментов растительного происхождения, по химическому строению относящиеся к классу флавоноидов.

Авторы отметили, что к 2000 году было описано и выделено более 8000 флавоноидов и 500 антоцианов.

Предполагается, что антоцианы обладают перечнем положительных эффектов на здоровье и самочувствие человека.

В течение последних двух десятилетий все большее число исследований посвящено изучению разнообразных защитных эффектов, оказываемых полифенольными соединениями различных фруктов и овощей.

Это антиоксидантный, противоаллергический, противовирусный, антипролиферативный, противомутагенный, антимикробный, антиканцерогенный эффекты флавоноидов.

Подобные эффекты могут быть использованы при создании препаратов, направленных на облегчение сердечно-сосудистых заболеваний и аллергии, улучшения микроциркуляции, профилактику ломкости периферических капилляров, профилактику диабета и нарушений зрения.

Получены первые положительные результаты влияния антоцианов на сумеречное зрение и прогрессирующую миопию. Вместе с тем, эти данные нуждаются в полноценном клиническом подтверждении.
